The Business Operations Consulting Workshop (BOC) is a uniquely dual-focused experiential workshop designed to familiarize students with the supply chain/operations and consulting fields to prepare them for a career in the fast-growing field of operations consulting. While many workshop graduates accept positions in either consulting or manufacturing firms, the skills and friendships that students make are immensly valuable to any career aspriations that a member may have.

The workshop is focused around two courses.

• BOC 1- Business Operations Consulting  (P255)
  BOC 1 is an intensive seminar-based course that focuses on the basic building blocks of supply chain, operations, and consulting: supply chain basics, analysis, presentation, and teamwork. Students take this course in the fall of their sophomore or junior years. Speakers vary, representing a wide variety of manufacturing, healthcare, automotive, and consulting firms.

 

• BOC 2- Business Operations Consulting: Essentials  (P355)
  BOC 2 builds upon the supply chain frameworks from the previous year and focuses on operations practices in the frame of the consulting industry. Students take this course in the fall of their junior or senior years.
